What Are the XGIMI AURA 3 Max and AURA 3 Pro?
The AURA 3 series are 4K ultra-short-throw (UST) laser TVs. Instead of sitting across the room or being mounted on the ceiling, the projector rests on a media cabinet just inches from the wall while casting a screen-sized image of 120 inches and beyond.
That placement matters for shared spaces. There is no one walking through the projection beam, no long throw distance to plan around, and no room redesign required. When the screen is off, the projector simply looks like part of the room.
Both models are aimed at the same use cases: movie nights, live sports, console gaming, streaming and everyday family entertainment.
What Features Do XGIMI AURA 3 4K UST Laser Projectors Have?
AURA 3 Max and AURA 3 Pro share nearly everything that defines the series.
4K RGB triple laser color. Both use an RGB triple laser light source covering 110% of the BT.2020 color space, with dedicated red, green and blue lasers producing saturated, accurate color across film, sport and games.
4K 120Hz playback
Both support 4K 120Hz playback—the first in a UST projector class, powered by dual TI DLPC controllers. Fast motion in sports, racing games and action films stays sharp and fluid, while native 24fps playback preserves the original rhythm of cinema. HDMI 2.1 features including VRR and AMD FreeSync support keep gaming responsive at low latency.
Dual Dynamic Iris with DBLE
Both models use a dual-iris system that controls light optically, frame by frame, combined with Dynamic Black Light Enhancement. The result is deeper black perception and preserved shadow detail without artificially crushing dark scenes.
X-VISION AI Image Processor
XGIMI's own processor reconstructs detail, refines edges and dynamically optimizes HDR scene by scene on both models. IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision certification bring premium formats to the big screen.
Sound and smart system
An 80W Harman Kardon audio system with Dolby Atmos and DTS Virtual:X is built in, along with Google TV for Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video and more, which means no external box needed.
Precision optics and easier living
A 19-element optical engine with ED-grade glass maintains edge-to-edge sharpness, while auto focus, keystone correction, wall flatness and color adaptation handle setup. Both models also significantly reduce rainbow artifacts and laser speckle, and carry TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification.
