A position centered on the screen will usually need less image correction than one far to the side, but the actual location must follow the projector's projection geometry and the mount instructions.
Before drilling, identify any electrical wiring, pipework, or other concealed services. The original guide shows six base fixing points and different drill sizes for its two hole groups; those details are kit-specific, not universal ceiling-mount advice.

2. Make room to work safely
Arrange help to support the projector during attachment. Do not try to hold a heavy projector and turn a locking part at the same time. Position a stable work platform and keep the floor below clear. Install the Mounting Base and Route Power
1. Fix the base
Hold the mounting base flat against the selected ceiling surface and mark every required fixing point using the base as the template. The original TITAN Noir instructions specify four 8 mm holes in one group and two 6 mm holes in the other, with the supplied expansion bolts. Treat those measurements as instructions for this kit only. Confirm the ceiling substrate and supplied fasteners are compatible before using them; do not transfer these hole sizes to another mount. After fastening all six points, verify the base sits flush and does not shift under a careful manual check. If it moves, stop before attaching the projector.
Route the unplugged adapter and cable
With power disconnected, lay the adapter where the guide specifies, secure the cord with the supplied tie, and pass it through the rubber grommet. Make sure no cable is pinched, sharply bent, or pulled across a fastener. Fit the magnetic decorative cover only after confirming the cable path. Keep access to the power connection for the final test.
Attach the Rod and Projector Plate
Align the adjustable rod's notch with the mounting plate slot and tighten the specified hex screw with the supplied tool. Check that the rod is seated without wobble.
For the TITAN Noir projector configuration described by XGIMI, remove the original floor stand using the large hex key and retain its four screws. Align the mounting plate with the stand's original screw holes, reuse those four screws as directed, and tighten evenly.
Do not substitute a screw with an unknown length: a wrong fastener can fail to secure the plate or damage the projector.
Have a second person support the projector while you inspect the plate and rod connection. The original article's gentle movement check is a check for obvious looseness, not a load certification. If any component rocks, stop and recheck assembly before lifting it to the ceiling.

Lock the Projector to the Ceiling and Align the Image
With the plate secured and the projector supported, loosen the rod knob and extend the rod as described in the original guide. Align the rod's lower notch with the tab on the ceiling base, then turn it counter-clockwise until the connection is fully locked. Recheck engagement before the supporting person lets go.
To change height, loosen the connecting knob in the direction shown by the guide, slide the rod, and retighten it firmly. Never adjust height while leaving the projector unsupported.
Use the mount's intended tilt mechanism for small alignment changes. Do not loosen the tilt adjustment hex screw during normal use; the original XGIMI article explicitly warns that it must remain tight.
Align the projected image with the screen using the physical mount first, then use the projector's image adjustments only as needed. Confirm that the projector remains stable at the final height and angle and that no cable becomes taut through the adjustment range.
Final Safety and Picture Check
Check every fastener and locking point described by the kit instructions, the decorative cover, cable clearance, and projector ventilation. Only then connect power and show the projector's menu. Recheck image placement, focus, and audio from the normal viewing position.
